NOVEMBER NEWS
Very exciting news this month is 'Custom Remedy' competing in the prestigious 2007
NRHA futurity in Oklahoma during November and December. 'Remedy' has been in training
with Andrea Fappani in Calafornia since his start, and it is hoped he will join the Oakridge
show string in the UK and Europe for 2008 ridden by Lita. Also home to England comes
'Tejons Dunit' a 2004 bay mare, who will be shown in the UK in 2008. 'Taya' placed 5th in the
French futurity with Ilan Rosenberg. Started by Lee here at Oakridge she has been shown lightly
in Europe and has always been a family favorite.
2007 British Reining year end awards have been announced and Lita and
Bay Reyner have won 3 of the championship titles. Taking BR and NRHA non pro
rookie, BR limited non pro and BR Intermediate non pro, this is a great way to retire
Bay to the breed barn where she will stay with Oakridge and hopefully produce our
champions of the future .What a fabulous mare she has been, honest and with a great
big heart, she has tried her best every time shown, and commands our greatest respect.
She already has a very promising colt in training in Germany and he is very much on track
for the 2008 European Futurities. Bay is due to foal in April 2008
We are very proud to announce that our stallion Santa Cruz Whiz ridden by Ilan Rosenberg
placed 3rd in the Intermediate open on 18th and again 3rd in the Intermediate Open Derby
class in Italy on Saturday the 20th Competing against some great horses in the biggest
ever Italian Derby, Santa was a real star and as the only british contender flew the flag brilliantly.
Our thanks to Ilan for producing the horse so well, and to Niki and the team for the support.
Santa will continue to compete on the European circuit this year.

March News
With the clocks going forward we are all enjoying the lighter evenings. With the blossom growing rapidly of the trees, we are truly in springtime and are all looking forward to the better weather and the start of the show season. The barns are full with the return of Bay Reyner from Ilan Rosenberg’s in Germany and a number of horses coming in for training.
The clinic that we held at the beginning of March was a great success. We were blessed with glorious weather for the time of year. Lee spent the morning working on suppling exercises, whilst in the afternoon worked on jog and lope exercises. As usual Dave dished up another feast at lunchtime and all of us spectators were glad that we weren’t riding in the afternoon and were able to tuck in to second helpings!
Lita had a great time in Germany on her training trip. Like the other participants she learnt a lot during the week at Ilan’s clinics and was able to put that into practice at the show at Kreuth. She scored a 66.5 to place 17th in a class of 42 – well done Lita and Bay!
With the grass growing, we have moved the youngsters and broodmares into their new paddocks. The broodmares are all looking very well and are gradually getting larger. With last year’s babies all being so stunning and gorgeous (I might be a bit biased as I own one of them! - Claire), we are all excited about the prospect of this year’s foals making an appearance in the next few months.
February 2007 News...
Well a frantic couple of months has resulted in a new baby, congratulations to Becky and Lee on the birth of a gorgeous baby boy.
Jay Oscar was born on Sat 27th Jan and is welcomed with open arms by all of the family. Hopefully another youth rider for the future but arriving with a birth weight of 9lb 5oz we may have (Graham hopes) a budding England rugby star. Claire continues working hard at Dell Hendricks but will be home for the 1st of March. We all miss her and look forward to her return.
Lita is gearing up to go show in Kreuth in Germany, Bay Reyner left on the 15th and has settled well. New staff have arrived on the yard due to workloads and we are delighted to welcome Fiona to the team.
Also great news for February is the launch of the new website.
