CONGRATULATIONS TOTEAM GB
It is with great pride that Lee and Santa Cruz Whiz return to Oakridge yesterday with an FEI BRONZE MEDAL from the European Championships in Kreuth, Germany in the Team Event.
Seven Senior Teams plus Individual Riders from France, and Poland took part with 11 Nations in total competing. Germany retained the title and Gold on 665.5, Belgium finished in Silver position on a 661.5 and Team GB was awarded the Bronze on 646.5 with only 3 riders.
Our Senior Team was .. Doug Allen on Just Gotta Shine, Tammi Greaves on Jac Wonders Who and Lee on Santa. Francesca Sternberg also a team member, sadly did not ride as her horse and the spare team horse failed at the Vet Check.
Our super Junior Riders finished in 4th place against some very experienced competition. Luke Phillamore on Luv To Cut, Anthony Iren on Barely Whizable, Josh Collins on Frozen Slide and Jessica Sternberg on Sashimi. Again sadly we lost a rider in Emily Scott who's horse did not pass the Vet Check, but I am sure we will see Emily on future teams. Our thanks go to the Chef D'Equipe, Adam Heaton and his wife Dawn, Team Grooms, Niki and Lauren and all the amazing supporters both at Kreuth and here at homewithout whom there would be no medal.
Special thanks to Chris and Terri and the Crew at Oakridge.
